All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

You think AJ has hurt his stock after 1 test? Let’s let today play out before jumping on AJ. The others I agree with

Duh. Brandon Scherff only did 23 BP as an OL and was drafted #5 overall. Of all the combine drills that mean very little to NFL guys, BP is probably at the top of the list.

Epenesa at 16 before Doyle was 260 lbs, could bench 315 and ran a 4.7 40

Epenesa after Doyle was 275 lbs, could only do 17 reps of 225 and couldn't run a sub 5 sec 40. That's insane!

If Doyle was so good why didn't Epenesa work with him?
Truly surprising since Doyle is a top 5 S&C coach. You would have to ask AJ. You could definitely tell that the decision to not work with Doyle effected his combine results.

Kittle came to Iowa running a 4.86 and jumping 27.5, ended up running a 4.52 and jumped 38.5.

Hock came in running a 4.94 and jumping 26.1, ended up running a 4.70 and jumped 37.5.

Jackson came in running a 4.96 and jumping 29.8, ended up running 4.48 and jumping 40.

Wirfs came in running a 5.3 and jumping 25, ended up running a 4.86 and jumping 36.5.

Those results are unreal.

Yep, so glad we have Doyle. Been lucky to keep him this long.
