Fulmer is proof that coordinators make or break a coach. He did absolutely nothing without David Cudcliffe (coach at Duke) who was his offensive coordinator during the Peyton Manning years and as recently as last year.

I am surprised he lasted as long as he did at Tenn. That league is tough and most schools in that league expect to win it!

Talk this weekend about the Florida Offensive Coord. being high on list of "hot coaches", but I would think the Tenn job would go after a proven head coach.

Leach is the fifth best paid coach in the Big 12. By considering Tennessee he would likely get a substantial pay raise, and be coaching at a school that has some of the best facilities nationwide (a recruiting advantage).

Have to give props to Steve Deace. He predicted even with Fulmer's extension at the beginning of the year that he still would not be coaching at Tennessee after this year.

Leach is the fifth best paid coach in the Big 12. By considering Tennessee he would likely get a substantial pay raise, and be coaching at a school that has some of the best facilities nationwide (a recruiting advantage).

I think he will be getting a nice boost with a BCS berth this year (yes, I am predicting they run the table).

Tennessee would be a great coaching job to have, but Leach is BMOC in Lubbock. Recruits want to play for him because they have a fun system in place.

I'm guessing it will be a proven Head Coach as opposed to a hot assistant. Maybe a Jim Levitt (sp?) or someone like that. If they want to spice up their offense they should call Ken O'Keef. Just kidding all you Hawk trolls.

I think Leach would have went to UCLA, but it was never offered. I think he wanted that one.
