It's a conference that is deep that ins't top heavy. But the NCAA this year is going to be the biggest crapshoot ever. Teams ranked #6-#40 aren't all that much different imo.

We will see if it is overrated or not. Bowl season left no doubt how overrated the Big 12 was in football.
We would be right in the middle with most of the other teams. We are a lot worse than we usually are, but if we played in the Big 10 we would probably be looking at an 8 to 10 seed because we would win more games and get a lot more credit for it.
Comparing Bowl games to the NCAA Tournament? That's pretty low, even for you. Bowl games are vacations for a lot of these kids. The Big Dance is full of games where the teams are actually trying to win. Horrible comparison.
I compare the post season of one sport to another. The Big12 left no doubt how over-rated they were with how they performed in the post season for football.

I think this is a reasonable post. I just don't get all the love for the Big 10. Like you said, there are 30 to 40 teams that can be good sometimes, but overall aren't great. Some of those teams are in the Big 10, and some in other conferences. So I'm not sure why they get so much love. This may be one of the hardest years to fill out brackets.
Bowl season in football is totally meaningless. Post season in basketball is what everyone plays for. You missed the boat on this one champ.
This is my point. Maryland? Meh, they are ok. They are all just kind of meh. But hey "greatest conference in the land" .....lol wow.

The B1G has as many or more teams in the top 40 of all those rankings than the Big 12 has teams in their conference.
