Assuming we get a good grad transfer, I could see this being the starting 5, however it's all speculation.
1. Bolton
2. Grad Transfer
3. Johnson / Blackwell
4. Solo
5. Conditt
Bench: Jackson, Grill, Foster, Dubar, Walker, Lewis, Griffin
I assume the grad transfer or immediate eligible transfer we're going to go after is a high volume scorer and will be given the keys right away. That would be the perfect scenario for next years team.
He doesnt. But there are literally no facts in his favor for ISU being on the same level as Iowa in any important sport in the present or near future so he has to make up nonsense.
Would need to land a transfer that is better than Bolton. More similar to White, Kane or Shayok.

It doesnt seem like a great idea to have Bolton be the starting PG. Wouldnt he fit better off the ball?
Except for the fact that the last 3 football games have been decided in the last 5 minutes or later and Iowa State has a good recruiting class coming in next year for basketball while Iowa does not.
So, although Iowa has ended up winning the close football games over the past 3 seasons, CMC is putting his teams into very good situations to beat Iowa and sooner or later it's going to happen. Also, even though Iowa will most likely be good again next year, the 2020 class looks to be very bad and could cause a tremendous dip for the year after next.
Iowa has 2 players better than him and a 3rd (Fredrick) that is just as good.
He will be your best player next season but ISU is still going to have the better starting 5.

Yeah I think the 1-2 spot could go to either Bolton or whoever we bring in. Bolton probably plays better at the 2 spot but is a true combo guard who can run the offense if need be. We'll see how everything plays out though.

Going to be hearing a lot about this Iowa State football team this off season. It will be a lot like Nebraska except we actually have a good QB and coach to back it up
