Mike Singletary...

Whatever it takes to show some overpaid babies what they are looking like on the field. I was completely for his speech after the game last Sunday about how Vernon Davis is all about him and not the team. Like I said before, hopefully the management backs him and not the players who are upset with him.

Yeah, but dropping your pants where there's no business dropping your pants? Who is he? Najeh Davenport? Speeches are great, but moves like that are going to lose him any credibility he may get from giving a rousing speech....

This is nothing about credibility because he did it to his own team in the locker room with no reporters or cameras around. Now, if he would have done this in the middle of a press conference, I would say he's crazy but in the locker room is another story. The 49ers need change because they are stinking up the bay area just as bad as the Raiders are and maybe his antics and old school mentality is what it is going to take to change them.

Al Davis should take notes on what Singletary is doing and find a coach like him to change the Raiders!

Would you seriously respect your coach more if you saw him standing in front of you in his boxers screaming? I would more concerned about gaining my players' respect than the media. And the media WILL have a field day with this....

Somebody like Mike Singletary should already have all the players respect. Not only has he been with the program since 2005 as an assistant but him being in the HOF should garner respect with other football players.

I bet his antics have definately opened up the players eyes and brought them back to earth on how they are not playing as a team and how bad they really are though.

In my opinion, I hope they continue losing because I am a Raiders fan and anytime the spotlight if off of them in the Bay Area, the better!

yeah, that's kind of my point. He really shouldn't have to do these antics to get his players' attention. I bet if he had it to do over again, he wouldn't. He's going to get beat down on this. I'm not sure if Rome got ahold of this info before his show today, but I'm sure he won't talk about much else tomorrow(or the next several years, for that matter)...

I guess I just wouldn't want to play harder for someone that dropped his drawers in front of me. Now, if Iron Mike was in the locker room, telling me to get my act together, I would for fear of my life and run through walls for him. If he told me that with his pants down, I would sit there and say, WTF?

I agree with you on that one, I would also fear for my life if he was yelling at me! It's his eyes when he was playing I will never forget.

At least it wasn't Rick Majerus again....wait, there's no winners in this comparison.

And too many wieners... :biglaugh:

Which reminds me of the line that Chip Carey (and probably countless other broadcasters) used to use at Milwaukee during the sausage races. "In the end, everybody's a wiener..."
