All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Oklahoma got completely destroyed. They were clearly the inferior team. But I think LSU also might be one of the best college football teams of all time, and OU is far from that.

If you're going to throw shade at OU and the Big 12, you might want to look back on the past two performances from the Big 10 in the playoffs.

Ohio State lost 31-0 to Clemson in 2016. Michigan State lost 38-0 to Alabama.

The only team in the country who could beat LSU this year is Clemson and that will be played out.

Stone is probably leaving early as well.

Is there talk of Eisworth leaving? I know he has battled injuries at ISU so was not sure if he was considering going to the draft.

Stone leaving would be a huge blow. Eisworth isn't leaving

Yeah, and the B1G sat out a couple years. Time to save us from OU for a couple years IMO

I don’t think Eisworth leaving early would do much for him. I think he’s probably a mid-late round guy this year or next year. Either.

Stone would be a huge loss.

Having 7 guys leave early in a 2 year span for a team like Iowa can be tough to overcome.

We were able to handle losing 4 guys last year and had a better year in 2019 than we did in 2018. Hoping that is the case again.

Your top two safeties behind Stone were the recruit nobody wanted and the walk on right?

So wouldnt it make sense, for a guy that has had injury issues, for him to leave early and get paid if he isnt likely to improve his draft stock?

The Big 10 didn't choose to sit out.. they didn't make it in. If OU goes undefeated next year or loses one game and is the best choice to put in the playoff, they'll get in.

If Utah beats Oregon, they're in. If Georgia beats LSU, they get in and the matchups are different. If Oregon would've beaten ASU, they probably hop in. All of those things did not happen and OU got the spot.

Top 2 safeties behind Stone?

Our depth chart goes 2 deep, Stone's back up is listed as Dane Belton.

The walk on, Koerner, started alongside Stone pretty much all year. They play 2 different positions.

I think he expects us to be mad Oklahoma lost for some reason

I was not surprised OU lost big, but I was surprised how big it ended up being. It does make sense though that the OU defense looked that bad. When you have an okay defense down 2 players and then lose 2 more against a historical offense, you're probably going to get beat bad.

Lol what?

Hall averaged 5.5 yards per touch and had 10 TD's on 209 touches

Goodson averaged 5.1 yards per touch and had 5 TD's on 158 touches

Both averaged 4.8 YPC, Hall had more receiving yards, not a surprise considering how much more ISU passed the ball than Iowa.

The Big12 is an underdog in all 6 bowl matchups.
It makes sense when you look at the teams they played against.. The worst team the Big 12 played / will play is Texas A&M. Then you have Navy at 10-2. Other opponents = LSU, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Utah.

Goodson had 1 more reception than Hall on the year. Hall had 96 more yards and a TD.

Yes, Hall had more receiving yards and was very good this year for you. Do people really think I'm taking shots at Hall? I have only said how good he was the entire time, and that he had a better year.
