Diamond Dave Update

Just in case Jeremy did not post this as front page news, I thought I would do fellow CF members a favor an post a summary of Diamond Dave's input on this week's call-in show.

  1. Sadly, Diamond Dave missed the Texas A&M game due to illness (influenza). He apologized profusely to Coach Chizik who graciously accepted his apology. He reinforced his intention to not miss any additional games in the future.
  2. Diamond Dave has upped his support for Coach Chizik. He is now behind Chizik "200 percent." Though his support was not expected to lessen, regular listeners could not have anticipated this dramatic increase in support.
  3. Diamond Dave will check in again next week. He said he is looking forward to a great effort by the Cyclones this Saturday.
If conditions warrant, I will provide an update to the above information.

I think that if Gene had to decide between partaking in the call-in show or going to the dentist for a root canal - he'd schedule that dentist appointment more often than not.
 
I just knew something wasn't right Saturday in the stadium, now I know, no Diamond Dave, we are lucky they didn't score 70 plus on us!
 
Dave might not have been there but I saw his dad, Cyclone Jerry, on the west concourse at halftime.
 
So Diamond Dave is not a potential football recruit....

The whole key at this point will be what recruits he can get in this third session. We could use someone like a Nick Leaders or a Rubin....
 
Does anyone have his address... I think we need to send him a Get Well Soon Card....

I know we have our fans that are rediculous on the phone, but at least Tommy doesn't call into the Cyclone show everyweek. Although, I have heard him a few times. Including Chizik's first show.

200 percent???? Wow. That IS impressive.
 
You forgot to mention that Dave has vowed to be there as usual he said to send off the team to Oklahoma State. I did not realize what a large part of the team Dave really was. Hope you get better Dave.
 
The sad thing, is that I would take Diamond Dave to a game over alot of the chicken littles around here.

Any other reports on our other frequent show callers and frequent show topics?

Did Denny from Clear Lake call ?

What about Cyclone Jerry ?

Did anyone call this week and complained about what the coaches were wearing on game day ?

Who gave the AD and/or the head coach the best pep talk ?

Who called Jamie and asked about baseball ?

I'll volunteer to do this show for Gene in the future if he gives me half what he is getting paid for the radio/TV show...

Who are you so called Cyclone fans that criticize one of our own who shows feverent support of our teams, yeah all of them including WBB. Heaven forbid I should call the show only to find a bunch of morons mock my call each week. I love it when Denny from Clear Lake or Denny from Story City calls, at least I find out something new. Maybe some of you hidden hot shots behind the keyboards should call in so we all can rip on your call.

Except these stupid media things pay about 3/4th's of his salary. For an extra $800,000, I'd answer any idiot's questions.
