Vikings fans...

Chicago shut down Cook and made Cousins beat them. Which the entire league knows he can’t. It’s infuriating to see a performance like that and hear Cousins say it’s “frustrating.”

He’s all talk and no action to back it up. That’s been true throughout his career. He was smart enough to position himself to get a max contract with guaranteed money, I’ll give him that. Beyond that, he hasn’t done much to impress me.

Is it just me or does he seem uncomfortable in this Vikings system? I feel like he’s straight up just suited for a spread offense. Just seems off and awkward.

No, the dumbest move is giving up like 3 1st-3rd round draft picks and couple others along with about 5 players for Herschel walker.
That wasn't as bad as wasting a 1st round pick on a 5th round talent (Ponder) at QB.

Rick Spielman does some things very well, but there are a lot of things that are questionable. Especially when it comes to QB. Ponder and Teddy B. were both 1st round busts, and he traded a 1st rounder for a guy that has played in something like 4 games in the last 18 years (Bradford).

I love coach Zimmer and hope he coaches the Vikings for quite a few more years, but Spielman should probably be fired. The game is changing way too much, bring in someone a little younger that understands where the game is going.

Because he totally could have known Bridgewater's leg was going to explode...

How Bradford stayed healthy that season of all seasons is one of the universe's most mind-boggling questions.

Ehhh....they should have kept teddy. He looked pretty good last night.

Bridgewater wasn't a bust a in the classic sense. He was turning into the exact QB Zimmer wanted before the injury, and it was the definition of a freak injury.

When Cousins was signed, Zimmer said something to the effect of "I have to get this QB move right, or it will cost me my job". Well, they got it wrong. I don't want Zimm gone, yet, but they have to figure out something to do with Cousins. Cousins needs a Top 5 NFL offensive line to be effective, and we're probably a Bottom 5 OL.

Teddy is a game manager only. Never understood the love affair some fans have for him.

Game manager >>>>> Complete and total liability.

Bridgewater wasn't going to be a Top 5 NFL QB ever, but he took pretty good care of the ball, could check down when and where he needed to, and managed the offense. In 2015, there were multiple games where he drove the team down the field at the end of the game to get the win.

He was comfortable with Zimmer's system, and was starting to get pretty effective running it. Cousins just doesn't seem to have that at all.

It doesn't make a lot of sense that Spielman invested 84 million in a quarterback, while having two top 20 WR's, but Zimmer wants to run the ball 80% of the time.

Running the ball 80% of the time is fine, but if that is what the Vikings want to do, why are they investing all of that money in Cousins/Thielen/Diggs? Could've kept a guy like Keenum and invested in the horrendous OL.

I don't know that Zimmer wants to run the ball every down, but more views it as a necessity due to failures of pass protection. It's seemed to me that he'd prefer to have a pretty balanced attack, if possible. Obviously they view skill players as greater assets than spending that money on linemen and having worse skill players as a result.

Except Keenum has been awful since leaving MN. There's one season that appears to be an aberation in his career.
