right. You say it's not Iowa so by process of elimination it must be UNI. The only other team that views ISU as a football rivalry. You just said our Super Bowl is UNI, not Iowa...

Just having fun with you. RelaxThat's just creepy
Notice - "in-state" Superbowl. Of course it is. You eliminated UNI from contention 2 weeks ago.At least he's being honest
So question, if Iowa State beats Iowa in regulation, or dare I say only 2 overtimes, does that make UNI better than Iowa? Because that's how some Iowa fan's logic seems to be currently..Notice - "in-state" Superbowl. Of course it is. You eliminated UNI from contention 2 weeks ago.
I think you're understating how Iowa treats this game, or has treated it in the past. Since Iowa has won the last 4, Iowa fans down play it as this game isn't a big deal, but when the series was back and forth (the last 20 years), Iowa fans were just as hyped for this game as ISU fans.To be fair, he was talking about the environment and he isn't wrong. ISU fans treat this like the in state super bowl.
While the transitive property is a really good predictor, like all things here, it will be decided by AP votes or Sagarin ratings (per personal opinion of that day), and be debated for the next 12 months. So question, if Iowa State beats Iowa in regulation, or dare I say only 2 overtimes, does that make UNI better than Iowa? Comparing a late November game to an early September game? You're better than that
I'll give you a great answer. No, if Iowa State beats Iowa in less than 3 OT's, it does not mean UNI is better than Iowa. LolWhile the transitive property is a really good predictor, like all things here, it will be decided by AP votes or Sagarin ratings (per personal opinion of that day), and be debated for the next 12 months.
At that point does it really matter? ISU would have beat them both.So question, if Iowa State beats Iowa in regulation, or dare I say only 2 overtimes, does that make UNI better than Iowa? Because that's how some Iowa fan's logic seems to be currently..
Kansas State is viewed as a rivalry. Missouri was a rival until they left the Big 12. Nebraska was also semi-considered a rival until they left as well.
Both Kansas State and Iowa State call the game Farmageddon. Missouri and Iowa State played for The Telephone Trophy. Are those schools aware of this?

Iowa and Nebraska literally created a trophy game the first time they ever played when Nebraska joined the Big 10 because they really really badly wanted to create a rivalry between the two schools.
