He wasn't good that is for sure. While Iowa did play good defense on Saturday, the Rutgers QB was also terrible at the same time. There were some guys open that he couldn't hit. However, Iowa had something to do with that by supplying a lot of pressure.
Always get an elite program on the other side of the ball when gameday comes to town so tough to win. Its not very often you only see one team ranked in the gameday matchup.
Thank God AP votes don't matter to Iowa fans anymore otherwise I could see them really running with this unranked thing
Truly amazing that there are a total of ZERO games during week 3, where ranked opponents square off.
I'm going to keep my prediction the same. I think Iowa's a little better than I initially thought, but have to respect that this is the biggest game in ISU's history. Two pretty similar teams fight it out in a close one. Should be entertaining with many PIs, PAULAs, and MIPs to go around.

I would venture to guess that Iowa was pretty big under dogs in all five matchups.
You don’t think Iowa had anything to do with Penn State getting Gameday in 2009? Why else do you think they would pick unranked Iowa @ #5 Penn State instead of #11 Virginia Tech @ #9 Miami?
I know there were a lot of people who didn't want gameday here for Iowa but seeing how much it bothers their fan base makes it all worth it. If Iowa wins Saturday, they'll be talking about this game for years. T shirts of their glory will be seen hanging from clotheslines in trailer parks all over the eastern side of the state for decades, they'll be donned by 40 somethings on fall Saturdays when Burger King employees are allowed to show their team pride..it may even spur an outbreak of belly tattoos. I didn't think it could get bigger than their Super Bowl but Herbie and Co put this game in to unknown levels of importance for this fan base.
That is one of my all time favorite Iowa games. PSU was hyping the revenge factor after Iowa wrecked their shot at a national title the year before.
First play of the game, Clark hits Powell on like a 75 yard bomb for a TD. Iowa punts and then PSU churns off like a 20 play drive that ends in a field goal so Iowa down 10-0 right away.
Donahue was lights out that game. Binns got the safety that sparked everything and then Clayborn's blocked punt return for a TD in the 4th.
Epic game.
