Over the weekend the wife said her twitter account (I do not use social media outside this) was going nuts with hawk fans yipping about Nebraska playing a kid charged with rape (according to them, I’m not sure of what is the charge). Thought it was highly hypocritical of hawk fans to not look in the mirror before posting that.

It wasn't rape, the charge was for distributing child pornography, however it's a bit more complicated than that.

I can’t believe so many people are wetting themselves about Iowa. Have you watched these clods? Iowa state is a lot better, this is like 28 to 10, if that close. Clones will roll these guys up.

I swear some of you guys act like Iowa has the steel curtain over there. Below average big ten team, it’s a great matchup for isu this year.

Dude when the opposing team waits all year for this game you never know.

I watched the first half of Iowa vs. Rutgers. Didn't change my opinion much, maybe made me a little bit more optimistic. Stanley about the same ... makes some amazing throws, then misses a WR on what should be an easy throw. Some of the TD's by Iowa were wide-open receivers where I assume Rutgers just totally blew the coverage. Their defense got some pressure on Rutgers, but Rutgers looked like they were just plain lost on offense.

I don't think we can take a lot away from Iowa's first two games. I think Iowa will be predictable and do the same things they always do, and score somewhere in the 17-24 range. If we can score more than 24, I think we win this game. The main question will be if CMC opens up the playbook or tries to play smash-mouth only. If we try to win by running up the middle the whole time, we lose.

With that said, I am afraid that's exactly what happens, and the final score will be something like 20-14 in favor of the Team out East.

Exactly. Winless with gameday at Kinnick. Believe their 2 game days in Iowa City were Ohio State 1996 and 2006. They were completely embarrassed in 2006.

And I just pulled up the all time list, Iowa is 1-4 in games that were featured on Gameday.

They played at Northwestern in 1995 and lost 31-20 and at OSU in 1997 and lost 23-7 with the Gameday crew in town.
