Hawk fans gonna turn on Stanley

I think he'll be a nice stopgap until Hogan gets to campus. If Petras can hold off a kid like Hogan for a year, more power to him. Going to be tough to keep Deuce though, big time programs like Georgia, Tenn, Okie State, and ISU want him bad.

Kirk isn't going to bench a seasoned starter for an underclassmen no matter if he's better or not

I guess we'll see. If Petras looks as good as we've been hearing and Iowa is able to land a talent like Hogan, will be really nice to get him a RS year.

Nate Stanley isn't even a top 50 QB in the country and a guy better than Jared Goff is riding the bench behind him. Kirk isn't going to change

Regression? Purdy was great all year. Set an NCAA record
**Checks Purdy's stats**

2 interceptions in first five games
5 interceptions in last four games

15 total TD's in his first five games
8 total TD's in his last four games

10 sacks taken in his first five games
11 sacks taken in his last four games

5-0 in first 5 games.
2-2 in last 4 games.

Was driving this evening and Hawk Talk came on after the 1st 30 minutes of hearing Dolph talk up every position and how they all are better than last yr (except maybe TE). I've come to the conclusion there is no reason for anyone to play them and just take the forfeit instead.

When I listen to Dolph call an Iowa game on the radio I always wonder how many casualties the other team suffers based off of the number of opponents that get pulverized, smashed, or gobbled up by a swarm of hawks.

All positions should be better except TE and safety. You could make the argument that the DL will be worse because they lose so many starters, but they arguably have more talent along the DL this year with Epenesa, Golston, and Nixon.

Both of the Paulsen's starting seems concerning...

What about passing yards, passing touchdowns and rushing touchdowns?
First 5 = 263 passing yards per game
Last 4 = 233.75 passing yards per game

Already did combined TDs

With Campbells history of turning on his quarterbacks quickly, how many games do you think Purdy makes it?

You think Purdy gets benched this year? I don't

To quote Mark Twain:
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
I'm relying on the eye test - what I see - and the results. If you're telling me Stanley's ceiling is higher than Purdy's then I know how asinine you are.
