Auction strategy -
Spend 85% of your budget on 4 elite players at the very start of the draft, some combination of WRs and RBs, or one of the few high end TEs. You can typically snag a serviceable QB later for cheap.
Then drink beer for like 2 hours and be a distraction to everyone else as you don't have enough budget left to keep up with the bidding.
Finally fill out the rest of your roster with $1 - $5 pieces as your remaining budget allows. Those late round guys will end up being what determines if your team is awesome or middling/bad. Or if you get too drinky waiting to get back in the bidding its fun to wake up in the morning and be surprised with what you ended up with; fantasy football Christmas morning.
Get as many studs as you can, make hay on the waiver wire later. Nobody wins with a bunch of $15 - $20 "depth" that they drafted. Those players are okay, but a team full of them typically wont carry you. Spend the money and get the Antonio Brown, OBJ, Sequon, Zeke, etc type players.
