Why do isu fans care? If Campbell can use this and get kids to commit to isu over Iowa so be it.

I don't get the discussion at all. If an ISU fan cares about Iowa's policy then find a hobby. Unless it's an underhanded way to gain an advantage who GAF? This doesn't fit that description at all. Some could say it's the opposite but I bet most kids don't care, and if they do, they have other options.

Clearly it is better to accept a commitment and then tell the kid they need to sit out a semester or be a walk on.

Probably not, if he is up front with the coaches before doing so. I'm guessing he will go for a visit at some point. Seems like a lot of teams are still after him and for good reason.

Here's what I don't understand about it. If it's a rule that is used for some players but not for others, why have the rule? I don't know how a 2 or 3 star would feel if he's not allowed to visit a school like Arizona State or Kentucky after he committed, but some 4 or 5 star who wants to visit tOSU or LSU is allowed to.
