Twedt no longer committed

What is happening with Zach's recruitment? Sounds like he has taken visits to Iowa and spent more time there recently. Last I knew he was still committed to ISU.

HawkeyeNation has been expecting us to lose this one to them since he committed. I only know this because it was linked to their site around here not that long ago. Not sure if they have inside info or if they just expect every recruit to do this if they want them.

Hopefully he stays, but if he doesn't I'm sure it's just a better fit for him. Sorry, not helpful I know.

Sounds like he is not fully committed. Obviously looking at Iowa but sounds like he is getting some other interest as well and might explore that. Seems like a good recruit so hope they can hang on.

From what little I've gathered, he's just doing the insurance policy thing. Loves ISU and Campbell. Not sure what he's majoring in, but being that he's already a farmer, I'd guess he'd want to major in something Ag related.

I would encourage my kid not to commit this early. Even if they think they are sure, I would want them to see other places just to get some perspective and really evaluate the options.

A lot of kids prefer to commit before their senior season starts just to minimize the distraction. The early signing period has pushed early commitments as well.. I honestly don't see it as a bad thing.

Twedt is only going to be a junior this season though. That is fairly early to commit. There are 2 full football seasons to be played by his future college program before he can even sign the LOI.

So much can change in that time frame.

Yeah but isn't this before the kid's Junior year not Senior? I get before the Senior year but not a whole year earlier. Especially when they haven't had a chance to check out all their options.

The recruiting pitches can get pretty intimidating. "We have two openings and five recruits," etc. If you aren't a 5* recruit, it can be hard not to commit when offered.
