If he really grew up a cyclone fan you would think there would be distain for Nebraska? But the cyclones are build on many people not one. We will be fine either way.

I think it has been long enough since they left the Big XII, and frankly have been irrelevant, that most kids his age probably really don't have an opinion about NU one way or the other. Frost can then sell the glory of the past and how they can be a part of making Nebraska great again.

Pretty common knowledge in the Carroll area that he wanted to create his own path and not follow his brothers to ISU. The only reason we even were in it until the end was Campbell. Would have been a shocker for him NOT to go to Nebraska or Norte Dame.

There was a rumor going around Carroll a couple months ago that BG would eventually head to Iowa but they kind of stopped recruiting him. It always had this feel in town that he wouldn't pick ISU.

While I don’t disagree...his brother is here and on scholly bc we thought BG was a shoe in and it’s one of those we will take care of the brother thing...happens all time..which makes things even more puzzling...

The “do my own thing” makes zero sense..Kid grows up an isu fan..sees a lot of bad isu teams and losing fball..and then when he starts actually playing fball isu hires a stud, young coach who has turned the program around and just might knock on the door of a conf title this year, and he goes to Neb? A program that hasn’t been good past..well..years..

Something different would be joining isu and seeing the isu program to heights never achieved..ever. That’s different.

Wts...we have some good young DEs on the roster right now..and Wilson coming as well..We will be fine.

Be careful to question anything about this recruitment - seems like people are touchy about this.

I think all of you are reading WAY too much into it. The football program posts stuff like that all of the team and Jamie does the same thing.

It’s stupid to think it has anything to do with the recruit.

Exactly -he told Iowa he was dropping them a few months ago so they could move on to other recruits, and they sent an awful, snarky response that he can kiss his dreams goodbye by being dumb enough to drop his best opportunity (Iowa), etc..
