I use 247 composite
You know probably about 1/2 of that rating is "trash" according to you right?
Another legit sourceArticle from SBNation states Iowa will finish in the top 30 if they keep it up for what it is worth.
From what I've seen he doesn't have the mental capacity to think about anything other than Iowa State. How much rent space does Iowa State take up in your head? It's gotta be a heck of an amount.
What do you use?And its still your go to recruiting rating? Yikes!
So not exactly a strong track record.
Agree. Obviously none of them are perfect. I think the classes between 30 and 50 aren't all that different. You are going to have to have a solid development program to be successful. I think that's why Iowa has had some success and why Iowa State fans are so optimistic.I like 247 composite the best.
Where was Kirk after year 3 on this type of stuff, and how many WR have they had drafted?

I honestly think KF has struggled to develop the offensive skills positions outside of TE over the years. There are, of course exceptions, but I think in general this isn't an outrageous claim.
I do believe CMC and staff can develop talent at all positions, but they still have something to prove. I'm just a strong believer he will.
He had two WRs get drafted after year 3.
I think that's a fair assessment if you consider 7.5 wins with all the input resources a success.I also agree that KF has struggled with the skill positions. A lot of that is recruiting and a lot of that is just emphasizing having strong areas in other parts of the game. KF would much rather have strong lines than have great WRs. It is just who he is. It has worked for 20 plus years now so I can't really fault him too much on that.
So it is OK that CMC had one drafted this year?

It's all in the eye of the beholder-you as a fan.
And they have had a couple great seasons but for the most part, they are who they are. 8-4, 7-5. There was a time that's all I ever wanted for Iowa State too. But with CMC at the helm I have hope that we will be even better because we can get skill guys and he is developing other areas as well.I can agree for the most part. No rating service is perfect, but to call two rating services "trash" and then continue to use those rating services is funny to me. It makes zero sense.

Of course it is OK, just a little early to say they have a strong track record of developing WRs. They are off to a good start though.
