I remember he was denied. Did the ncaa say why it was denied?

I'm hearing that the Martin family is using the same lawyer that got Fields and Patterson their waivers and been successful on a few others. I like his chances, but who knows with the NCAA.
Fan boy Chad Leistekow said on KXNO this morning that Iowa fans should be prepared to go into the season without him. He didn't really elaborate...
I think his waiver is a long shot but again it's a complete guessing game when it comes to the NCAA.

Losing sleep over a waiver? Yikes
I wish the kid nothing but the best. NCAA is an awful regulatory body.I'm hearing that the Martin family is using the same lawyer that got Fields and Patterson their waivers and been successful on a few others. I like his chances, but who knows with the NCAA.
Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance.Yep, the military in me says prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
True. It's only a couple steps worse than being the most insecure loser on your favorite teams site.
Martin getting a waiver is not going to make or break Iowa's national title campaign.

I've been in Ames the past few days at kid's college orientation
Congrats!
Loved it. Great people.
Yes, Yes we are.
I will be next week for my oldest. Thought that was the first session. Maybe they do different colleges at different times.
Pretty sure they started orientations last week and have them running through June. My daughter's in elementary ed, College of Human Sciences, but they had kids in business, ag, etc. as well. It's a good set up. Doesn't feel crowded at all. She's got her first semester class schedule set, dorm room assignment, pre-ordered her textbooks (at a nice discount) so when she moves in they'll be waiting for her, met with her faculty advisor. It's a long two days but you get a lot covered.
Go check out the new Cornbred BBQ (downtown by train tracks across from Aunt Maudes).Loved it. Great people.
Son was given three times for orientation and next week was the first, college of Ag. He made his choice way too late. Was set to play football at a smaller college and then at the last minute flipped to ISU. If you have legend status at ISU, you get to leap-frog many deadlines. He was so certain that he was going elsewhere that he didn’t take advantage of that.
