I thought we weren't doing siblings for this.
Maybe it's one of those deals that Steve Martin sings about in more recent performances of "King Tut"
"His sister was his mommy"

And add to all that her good looks, which were likely downplayed on purpose in the Donna Reed Show. I don't think I've ever seen Coach.I never knew they were related. Had to go look. Shelley is the niece of Nannette.
Shelley Fabares is one of those people you don't think of as 'significant' or particularly famous, but when you put it all together she had:
A Number One Single - (Johnny Angel)
3 Movies with Elvis Presley - (Spinout, Clambake, Girl Happy) - He once cited her as his favorite female co-star.
Starred in TWO very successful television series's 3 decades apart.- (The Donna Reed Show 1960's and Coach 1980's/90's
I'd take that as someone who maybe should be considered significant in pop culture.
And if you want another family tie-in to Coach, **** Van Dyke's brother, Jerry, plays Luther on the show. And add to all that her good looks, which were likely downplayed on purpose in the Donna Reed Show. I don't think I've ever seen Coach.
I took no "brother and sister acts" to mean siblings in the same band.I thought we weren't doing siblings for this.
Special shoutout to Ashley for NOT singing bad country with her mom and sister.

Doris Day and her son Terry Melcher (The Terry in "Bruce and Terry"). Also very successful record producer (Byrds, Paul Revere and the Raiders). And I think he was the intended target of the Manson Family, as I think he at one time lived in the house where one of their attacks occurred. Possibly the Sharon Tate/Roman Polanski house. I don't remember the specifics anymore...

Shirley Jones was on the early 1970s television show The Partridge Family with her stepson, David Cassidy — about the same time other teen heartthrobs included the Jackson Five and the Osmond Brothers. I guess The Partridge Family was fictional but based on a real family singing group. David wouldn’t have had to sing, but I read somewhere he took his part seriously, worked at it, that he wanted perform the music himself, and do it well. This was probably their best known song:
Not sure how many today would know how popular he was, so here is a bit from David Cassidy’s Wikipedia page: . . . The show proved popular, but the fame took its toll on Cassidy. In the midst of his rise to fame, Cassidy felt stifled by the show and trapped by the mass hysteria surrounding his every move.[11]:92–95 . . . https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Cassidy
Actress Susan Dey would later play an an attorney on the TV series LA Law.
Shirley Jones earlier played Marian the Librarian, in 1962, in the film adaptation of the the hit Broadway show The Music Man. This was Iowa-native Meredith Willson’s ode to his hometown of Mason City (“River City”). Willson also wrote a pep song for ISU (For I For S) and the official fight song for UI. https://archive.inside.iastate.edu/2004/0116/willson.shtml
Below are clips from The Music Man. The first is a classic, of con artist/salesman Harold Hill, but Shirley Jones comes into the picture at the end (the music teacher). In one of their earlier works, The Beatles did a cover of the last one, Till There was You, linked here at the end.
I actually did forget.Don't forget Shirley's biological son, Shaun Cassidy (David's younger half-brother):

Jones/Patridge is an excellent inclusion for this week's topic. Didn't even think about that one. Good work.
Re: "I guess The Partridge Family was fictional but based on a real family singing group."
Yes, for those unaware, it's based loosely on The Cowsills, real-life folk group formed by three brothers, Bill, Bob and Barry Cowsill. Eventually other siblings joined, along with their mom. Notable hits: "The Rain, The Park and Other Things"; "Indian Lake"; "Hair."
Cowsills probably don't qualify for this topic, due to established guidelines, but I'll post a clip anyway for reference.

But he doesn't sing on it and we aren't doing siblings, so never mind.
Like Karen and Richard CarpenterI took no "brother and sister acts" to mean siblings in the same band.
