Should I get this looked at?

Yes. I had a MRSA infection a couple of years ago and ended up in the hospital on Easter. Get it tested to find out if that's what it is.

Get it looked at!! Could be a bacterial infection. Friend of ours son had something like that on his calf and it swelled up. He ended up in the ER with a plastic surgeon looking at it and he prescribe some antibiotics for it. He said more than likely it was blocked follicle that started it and bacteria somehow got in and it blew up like a balloon. Don't risk it, unless it could be a sliver.
BTW my boss' husband had two toes amputated yesterday. Just thought I would throw that tidbit in there.

Yeah, you can self-treat and clean it out and put OTC antiseptics on it. Here's the thing though...it's already an infection. Improperly treated, it can go systemic. At this point, you'd be better off having a medical professional treat it.
