This is why Prohm must go........

This team needs a real stretch 4 (hogue type) and a scoring guard to compete in 2019-20

Next year is huge for prohm. Im not sold but in no way do I want him out after 23 wins. If he can get another top recruitment class like 2018 (indianola kid would be great), make the tournament next year, and not dropping as many games at Hilton. Fans will love it

However if we have another sub bar recruitment year, losses pile up in Hilton, and miss the NCAA's the noise for a change will grow

I don't have time to read the rest of the thread but Villanova has won two of the last three national championships running primarily a 4-guard offense, so this whole "can't win with four guards" and "elite teams play two bigs" ******** can stop any time now.

They started 2 6’9 guys last year this is wrong on so many levels. Just cause you write for the site doesn’t mean you can spew **** out of your ass.

LOL, Nova had 4 guys drafted from that team. 2 in the lottery. They also had a constant big man who belonged down low. Not Jacobson who isn't a big 12 starting 5

The problems of Not shooting well and Kalib Wesson sealed our doom...guys we still had a great season...we went to Kansas City and won the tournament and brought home the hardware.....forget this Ohio St game and think of the KCity run instead......and remember GO Cyclones

For me the B12 tourney run didn't redeem the season, it served as the biggest piece of evidence for how much we underachieved this year. The team that played in KC last week was way better than 9-9 in the league and a first round NCAA exit to a bubble team that may e shouldn't have even made the dance. The problem is the coaches and players couldn't figure out how to get that team to show up for half the games this year, and that was a major disappointment. I don't know if a coaching change is the answer here, but something was very much broken this year and it is on CSP as the man in charge to get it right.

Just stop?

So I guess you are okay with a 35-37 record in Big 12 over his four years and how the team has one NCAA tournament win in three years.......I guess you are okay with 9-9 mediocre records when this team CLEARLY had the talent to go 14-4 in league.......prove my points wrong......otherwise your post means nothing.....you didn't because you can't......end of story....
ISU doesn't have the talent to go 14-4 in the Big 12. ISU is one dimensional and you cannot be one dimensional and win 14 Big 12 games because there a bunch of different styles of teams you have to beat to win 14 Big 12 games.

You seem to be basing your opinion of ISU 's talent off their performances against Kansas. "Well if we kicked KU's butt then we must be the most talented roster in the league" is the thinking that had Mizzou fans feeling like they were going to make a Final Four run whenever they beat us.

When you play 4 guards, you are completely reliant on your players shooting well from 3, getting out in transition and playing aggressive defense. ISU let Ojio State's boring offense lull them to sleep and a false sense of confidence after their Big 12 tourney run seems to have dulled their sense of urgency.

In the last 7 seasons, ISU has won the Big 12 tourney 4 times and in those 4 seasons they have just 3 tourney wins and 2 first round exits. In the 3 seasons they didn't win the Big 12 tourney, they have 4 tourney wins and zero first round exits. I am ot saying that winning the Big 12 tourney makes it harder to win NCAA games. I am just pointing out the fact that it can lead to overconfidence and as a result, teams can go into the tourney complacent and not playing as hard as they should be.

It isn’t Prohm’s fault Solo got hurt, or that refs hate Lard for some reason. You play with the hand your dealt. Jacobson did as much as he could against a much larger 5.

OP is truly sad post...this is utterly ridiculous..

Some forget that we went into season expecting LW to start as well as probably Lard..neither saw the court for 1/3 of season nearly...to have to restructure playing time and rotations like 3 different times in one season is really really hard

Aside from that...Since Prohm has been at isu (4 years)..3 NcAa tourney...2 big 12 tourney titles...1 sweet 16....and OP wants to fire him? Dude...

Is Prohm the best in game adjustment coach? Nope but he’s also still fairly young in his coaching tenure and will continue to get better...

We lost last night because Babb, THT, Jacobsen and TH to certain extent...decided to have their worst offensive performance of the year..

When 3 starters have their worst performance of the year you will lose every single time...

Strategy was fine, our guards just weren’t good enough shooters and we lacked a stretch 5.

What strategy did you see? Dribble at the top of the key and run a screen after holding onto the ball for 20 seconds? Give the ball to Shayok and let him save your ass like he did in KC and other times in the year? Let Jacobson get smoked down low? No adjustments on the one player who beat us?

Preface by saying no offense intended.

But it’s really hard to take the rest of your post seriously when you refer to Dustin Hogue as a stretch 4.

One of those 6'9 guys plays on the perimeter over half the time. Not a whole lot of difference from him to 6'6 Marial Shayok.

And that's rich coming from you since you've spewed so much **** from your ass over the last 10 hours that it's a wonder your body hasn't turned inside out. You've embarrassed yourself on the internet enough already, might be time to put the keyboard down.

Just as valid as coach bad; with no context or intellectual honesty.

You guys have gone so far as to go after the guy who created this site because he supports the coach.
More sweeping generalizations.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with questioning the strategy of our coach on a chat forum about college basketball.

I also have said clearly that I am not on the get rid of Prohm bandwagon.

You accuse others of being blindly anti-Prohm and you do the exact same thing in reverse.

So then the issue is players who aren't up to caliber, not the offense.

Ironically random fan guy took a shot about how Iowa State has replaced Missouri as delusional fan base number one. He’s a ****. But some folks seem to be taking it as a challenge.
