Meh.....I don't know about "excellent". He is a jock sniffer and he has a platform....Journalists--even sniffers--are addicted to indignation. He was a little more cerebral about it this time.....just a little.

There’s more than 1 username between Yeahbuddy and the one you are using now.
Do you create new gmail or yahoo accounts to re-register? Or do you switch it up?

While you characterize Hlas as a "jock sniffer", I applaud him for calling out the University of Iowa administration for not shedding any light on their reasoning for suspending Dolphin. That's not an easy position to take when you rely on access to coaches for your job.
I also thought he did a great job of pointing out how the definition of what's considered racist or unacceptable behavior changes over time, and that's part of why this issue is so complicated.

Good points...I just deleted about 5 sentences.....but you are correct. He was just more subtle than I would have liked and I am tired of his fellow newspeak creators at the Gazette.
I actually like Hlas as a writer. He's one of the only ones on this side of the state that will call out Iowa athletics when it deserves to be IMO.
If you listen to him on the radio, yes he's a little odd, but I think he's pretty interesting to listen to.
