If they ever do talk about it, they are going to hide behind the "this is Learfield's decision" excuse. However, I'd love to find out who heard this and ran it up the flag pole to get to this point, and who decided it was a good idea to make this public when in fact, I have yet to see one person in the public say that it's a racist comment.
Like I said in another thread, if youyou Learfield and you think what he said is bad, yet no one is talking about it, you take care of the issue behind closed doors and not make a spectacle about it. Reprimand and make him go to sensitivity training over the summer.

This is extremely optimistic. Mad Fran owns Barta for whatever reason. Heck, Barta gave him an extension in the middle of the night and didn't even tell anyone. That's how pathetic this is folks. Fran either has something on Barta for blackmail, or they love each other. Not sure which?

Have him apologize and move on. Deciding to make this as big of a deal as possible without any public pressure happening is bizarre. Now you've guaranteed that Iowa fans will be reminded of it every single game during the rest of the season.

Anyone bickering about politics is doing exactly what UI wants them to do. Argue about that instead of questioning the toxic climate inside the AD.
He is having a solid season, recruits from Iowa, and beat ISU this year. His job is safe.
