I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

Depends on ones definition of "respected"... He had Iowa State as a 6 until the NCAA committee did their top 16 reveal, so take Palm with a grain of salt.
The season of Royce Palm had ISU out all year. If you recall ISU lost in the 1st game of the conf tourney to a pretty bad UT team and still ended up an 8. They were not even a bubble team and had been solidly in for a while.
He has traditionally been way more bullish on the big10 than others. He usually gets it right at the end but his in season brackets have had some really strange outliers. Seems a bit like a push poller.

That win at Kansas State that year solidified us in the field to everyone in the world but Jerry Palm

Do you think Iowa makes it to the second round?

Yes I do, higher seeded teams generally win their first round games. I think they end up a 6 seed. Honestly it wouldn't be shocking to see them in the sweet 16 but I think it's unlikely.

I cheer for ISU more than I cheer for any other B10 team.

I can't wait to watch us get murdered by Bruno Fernando tonight. Going to be entertaining watching him dunk over Garza on repeat.

Could be... I mean if TCU, Oklahoma, and Baylor are all there doesn't Nebraska have to be also?

Baylor is 7-5 in league play. Only one between OU and TCU will be in thew bubble discussion come selection Sunday unless something drastically changes. The Big 12 will be a 7 bid league and the B1G will be an 8 bid league.
