I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

How do you get that is a brutal slam of Iowa?
He lists the good teams. Iowa is a Top 25 team. They are in top 30 NET. Author discounts them for some reason. He is tacitly(link for @benjimill to the word tacitly https://www.dictionary.com/browse/tacitly) indicating that Iowa is not a good team. I would be unhappy if I were an Iowa fan (this instance unhappy with the author not disappointed with my life choice that allowed me to be a Hawkeye :) ) by the cheap shot at the Hawks.

The experts put WAY too much weight into the top tier of each conference. Yes, the ACC has the most title contenders but when the schedule is that watered down why does it really matter? The same can be said for the B1G. There are a lot of bad basketball teams between the ACC and B1G.

Completely agree, the bottom of the B1G is why I would rank the Big 12 slightly ahead of them.

So Iowa hit a buzzer beater after being down by 15 with less than 5 minutes left against an unranked team and didn't storm the court. Should Iowa fans have stormed the court?

Is Northwestern an in-state rival who's fans invade the Iowa forums talking ****? There is your answer.

Writer brutally slams Iowa without saying a single word about them. Ouch:
This feels like another season where the Big Ten could send a bunch of teams to the NCAA tournament but come away without a national title, which a league rep hasn't won since 2000. The top of the conference is led by a pool of good teams (Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Wisconsin and Maryland), but none great. And that reality is one of the reasons the Big Ten is a middle-of-the-pack viewing experience in college basketball. Sure, they're all chasing and scrapping with one another, but the league lacks that premier battle between juggernauts that's fueling the conference races in the ACC and the SEC. -- Myron Medcalf

There hasn't been a Big 8/Big 12 team not named Kansas that's even played for a national championship since Reagan was in office.

Since 2000, his timeframe, a team from the B1G has played for the national title 8 out of 19 times, repped by 6 different programs.

Hey I didn't write it. Jerry Palm, a nationally respected College B-Ball pundit, did. He seems to think otherwise.

Depends on ones definition of "respected"... He had Iowa State as a 6 until the NCAA committee did their top 16 reveal, so take Palm with a grain of salt.
