I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

I will mention, that when we hit a last second shot to beat a poor team, I feel more releaved then basically peeing my pants with excitement like the hawk fans in the video. Besides, who records themselves watching a game?

My friends recorded me watching the end of the 2011 ISU/OSU game and I'm pretty sure my reaction, while crazy, wasn't like those in those videos, but it was at least justified.

The best in the Hok video was the game watch, haha.

No wonder they think an NIT run is a bigger accomplishment than an NCAA (real) 2nd round game.

His hand was forced? Who forced him to red shirt Nunge?

That post may have not been clear.

The redshirts that are being used is forcing Fran not to go 10-12 deep which is extremely beneficial, IMO.

Nobody forced the RS on any of those guys.

Iowa continues to be a solid 6-7 seed for NCAA tourney. Can’t afford to lose these two this week or they may be looking at the dreaded 8-9 game.
Indiana is just bad. If Michigan State played with any heart, Indiana would be on a 12 game losing streak coming into CHA (assuming they won't win at Purdue).

Definitely a failure by many to recognize the difference between averting a disaster and accomplishing an impressive feat.

The question will be whether success with just 7-8 players will actually hit home that it's better than screwing up the flow.

Agree, the Hoosiers have major issues. If Iowa can win tomorrow night, I think they will be 24-5 when they go to Madison to take on the Badgers in a couple weeks.

Fran's minute distribution has always puzzled me. Play your 8, maybe 9 best. No reason #10 on should get any minutes other than injuries or garbage.

Its consistently been 9 guys since conference play started. Connor, Baer , Kriener and Dailey all come off the bench and average double digit minutes per game. I hope Dailey's role is reduced greatly the last month of the season.

That is a MVC level bench there. I don't think any one of them would start for Drake, UNI, or any other team in that conference. Woof.

That is a bad bench there. Woah

Baer is what he is, he can provide some value on most nights.

Kriener has flashed and played well at times this year, especially when Cook was injured and at home against UM.

Dailey is awful.

There is a need for another guard and that is Connor right now. If he plays basketball next season I dont see Toussaint or Fredrick taking minutes from him.

Without doing a deep dive I'm going to say 0. They probably have 3 wins over tournament teams (ISU, Michigan, and Ohio State). All of those were at home. Now fair warning they're going to get another one tomorrow night. Maryland is coming off a tough stretch of games, and it will be their second road game in 4 days. Legs won't be there. Iowa will win that one.
Winning at home doesn't impress me.

Dolph has outed himself.

Thats a huge reach. Baer would start for every MVC team and Kriener probably would too.

Hell, Ellingson was buried on a terrible Iowa teams bench last season and is starting and playing well for Drake this year.
