Still can't believe that ending to the Rutgers game. First Rutgers hit a lucky shot by making a tough off the dribble hitting the front of the iron and then off the backboard and then back onto the rim before going in. Then Iowa one ups the luck factor with the miraculous Wieskamp curve ball off the glass corner three. Crazy ending.
I am going to be very curious if ISU jumps Iowa in the AP ranking. Every national media member that I saw giving their top 25 has it that way. ISU as #16-#17 and Iowa staying around #24.
Totally valid in my opinion considering the context of the teams wins and play over the past week. Still the EIU "disrespect" narritive could be coming if the Fight'n Frans drop in the ranks after 2 wins.
I would expect Iowa to stay where they are and ISU back in the teens.
I'm more interested in seeing if we moved up in the Net Rankings after after Saturday's big road win. We get a bump for winning by more than 10 so I assume we will move up a couple of spots.

Another poster obsessed with me, yikes. Yes, I watch most Iowa games by myself. That’s normally what happens when you live out of state 8+ hours away from family and friends who are Hawkeye fans.
Yep, I watched it on my phone at a friend's bday party. People thought I was nuts when I was jumping up and down by myself and screaming. Had to explain what happened and then when they saw it, they couldn't believe it either.
Because the NCAA Tournament is in many respects a crapshoot. For instance, let’s say Iowa gets a 5 seed this year, and in their pod’s 4/13 match-up, the 13 seed wins. In this scenario they would have to beat a 12 and a 13 seed to make it to the Sweet Sixteen. Pretty realistic scenario, and Iowa would be heavy favorites to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
It’s pretty dumb to claim that any team’s ceiling is the second round, outside of a 15 or 16 seed.
That's right where I had Iowa State as well. I think Iowa either stays at 28 or slides back 1 or 2 spots.
When a coach is 60 years old and has never been past the second round I think it's safe to call that his ceiling. Especially with his limitations
If I remember right., last year I think they only did the one reveal but I could be wrong.
