Anybody else think students should have an allotment of free tickets for every game? I think Duke and some other schools do this. With the cost of tuition combined with TV money etc I don’t really see a reason to have them paying...
And Iowa routinely finishes in the top 30 for basketball attendance.
Let's go with some completely disinterested sources:

OK, now you go with disinterested reporters lauding how great Iowa's basketball fan support is.
We already have kids waiting for week outside to make sure that they can get in with the ticket they pay for. Imagine how long they would have to camp to get one of these "free" tickets for a game like KU.Anybody else think students should have an allotment of free tickets for every game? Iowa State struggles to sell out JTS, even for big games, and has to resort to “flash sales” and family packs to boost attendance figures. I see little difference between that and what Iowa has done to try and boost its basketball attendance.

That’s basically the norm. See Nebraska’s home football sellout streak for referenceIn "paid" attendance.

Yeah, Pollard is a terrible wrestling coach.Ok, 6-2 in football and Men's Bball over the last four years. I'm a big wrestling fan too, such a shame how Pollard torpedoed the ISU wrestling program that most ISU fans could care less about wrestling. Used to be a big rivalry.
