All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Dude, you are saying mastery on one post, and then saying he's inconsistent and cost Iowa a division (did you throw anyone else under the bus?).
You are painting the broad spectrum here, not me.

By “mastery” I am referring to his knowledge and understanding of Iowa’s offensive scheme, not his ability to always flawlessly execute it. And that’s obvious.

I’m just not ready to anoint Purdy without (1) seeing how he performs without Butler and Montgomery, and (2) seeing Purdy succeed against a good defense. Iowa State has had a new savior at QB nearly every year for the last 10 years; my apologies for being hesitant to believe your cries of wolf once again.

Without seeing? You've stated that you don't watch ISU, you look at drive charts.
It's how you apparently know ISU WR routes.

Purdy/Stanley a tossup. Purdy was good most of the season but was bad in the last two games he played. Stanley was up and down during the season and then tore up the best defense in the country. Tough call.

Purdy wasn't bad the last game of the season. 150 QB rating and two rushing TD's

Hearing from a buddy of mine that Hockenson is really struggling with this decision. He loves being a hawk and that is what has been making it so hard to decide.

The thing is, he really wouldn't get drafted that much higher, and that's best case scenario, if he comes back.

Why don’t you just say I read it on some hawk chat board?

Why give the illusion you have friends? It’s as big of a lie as you being a grad student. Lol

He has nowhere to go but down by coming back. And he could go down a lot. Having Fant on the field drawing most of the D's attention freed Hock up to have the season he had. Can't imagine his numbers being the same next year when he's the guy other teams are gameplanning to stop.

Totally agree. He should declare. Seems like a good kid, can always get his degree later.

Hopefully Smith and ISM can make the next step. And Beyer and Cook can be adequate at TE.

Won't expect much out of the TEs in 2019 but the following year Lee and Miamen will hopefully be ready to step in. Those two are going to be studs.
