Hawk friend just told me other fans are comparing him to Blythe and have said that he burned Darien Porter a few times if you watch tape.
Probably playing a zone and the safety coverage didn't pick up. Hawk fans are not the brightest group.
Yeah Porter has legit offers and Wolf-Blythe doesn't. Apparently coaches don't watch film
Reese Morgan has a pretty good track record finding kids like this so I'm good with it.
Reese also said Nixon has a very bright future on the DL.
Compare the stats of Wolf and Porter (it's not even close production wise), there's a reason Iowa didn't offer him even though he wanted to go to Iowa.
Using HS stats to compare a legit P5 WR to a kid who was going up walk on to play basketball in the Valley. Yikes
He had a scholarship to play at UNI, the only school out of Iowa to have a WR drafted last year.
He's a legacy at UNI. His dad played Linebacker at UNI in the mid-90s. He's coming to UNI on a football scholarship and wants to try to play basketball too. He's legit but I don't think he's going to change his mind.
I trust Matt Campbell and Scott Frost over Ben Jacobson and Kirk Ferentz when it comes to WR recruiting
Good to know, he's got good size and is obviously an athlete if he's going to play two sports so I hope he changes his mind.
Look for Porter to either never contribute or drop football altogether and focus on track after a couple years. He's a straight line speed guy without any blocking ability, not a football player. Didn't even translate in high school.
