Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

I brought it up in response to a poster who said Iowa’s offense down the stretch was Cook and McCaffery driving into the lane and drawing fouls. The original point of my post was to point out how stupid of a comment that was, considering that was Iowa State’s entire offense in the second half. Learn how to read; there’s no way you can be this stupid.
Then reply to that particular poster instead of making a general comment.

It’s the exact same “offense” that everyone on this board was making fun of Iowa for over the last several weeks, and it was the only thing keeping Iowa State in the game in the second half. What was that about self-awareness?

Uh, I did- and you started arguing with me. Are you serious?

No, you didn't. (Those are your direct quotes...)

There definitely are a lot of calls in a basketball game that can go either way, and both teams will get some and not get some.

But there were a good 2-3 calls that I saw tonight called on ISU I just couldn't even believe my eyes. Weiler Babb's block was one. Cleanest block I've ever seen.

Another was Wieskamp I believe driving the lane, gets the ball knocked away from him, he flails his arms, takes another two steps WITHOUT the ball and runs right into Shayok who was just planted there the entire time.... and Shayok gets the block call. I thought for sure Shayok was going to get T'ed up there because he slapped the floor after the call, but I wouldn't have blamed him one bit.

Obviously didn't determine the outcome of the game, but just blatantly wrong calls where you don't even know what the ref even thought he saw?

Yes, I did- see the very first post on page 432. I made a response to another poster, and then you (and other posters) started arguing with me, so I responded to you in kind. It’s really not that difficult to follow.

There were late calls against Iowa that were just as bad.

You did not quote anyone in your response.

End of story.

Then you must have the person I quoted blocked, because yes, I did quote someone in my response. End of story.
"everyone." You claim "everyone."

In your own words derrrr.

Oh, you mean long after the game had been decided. Yep, you're right. That was the one where Fran nearly blew up and went right to FranCon 5. He came out on the court and his face turned bright red as he was screaming and his assistants were holding him back. One bad call, and the game was already over, and Fran still couldn't handle getting one bad call against his team.

And then he stormed off after the game while Prohm and the Cyclones were waiting to shake hands.

Haha, so not only should ISU have gotten to shoot more FTs which they did, but they also should have gotten all the late situational calls as well. Got it.

Too funny.

I obviously didn’t mean literally every single person on this website, moron. My apologies; next time I will use the phrase “a lot of people” as opposed to “everyone” if you are going to be so anal about it.

You’re really struggling. Enjoy your win tonight. Fran probably signed another contract extension since he won the only game you guys care about
