Oregon was bailing us out by making stupid fouls against Iowa. They would foul Iowa at half court always reaching trying to get a steal.
I’m not blaming the officials for anything. You claimed Iowa was clearly the beneficiary of the terrible officiating, I am just pointing out that was obviously not the case.
Iowa shot 33 FT's and they were chucking 3's the whole game so yes they absolutely benefited more from it than Oregon. Is this serious?
Oregon had to foul a ton in the second half to try and get back in the game... But you already knew that. 12 FT's from desperation fouls in the last 2 minutes alone.

Oregon being down and pressing the second half accounted for a lot of the fouls. Foul disparity in favor of Oregon in the first half.
Final tally Iowa 20 fouls Oregon 24. Oregon had 24 FT's.
Anyway, happy with the win. Defense better than last year which was what I was looking for....we simply don't win this game last year.

Iowa shot 10 FT's in the last 2 minutes so 23 FT's while chucking up 3's the first 38 minutes? Like I said take the gifts when you get them and don't complain
Pretty typical when a team is down the entire game and is fouling for basically the last 4 minutes of the game. But you're smart enough to know that right?

Absolutely not. That was a big early season win and simply shows the level of talent Fran has to work with.

There's no argument at all. Iowa benefited from officiating last night. 33 FT's while chucking 3's all game is unheard of. Be happy about it and take the W bud!
Great free throw shooting and Oregon was committing stupid penalties away from the rim gambling on steals. They had a lot of reach in fouls on the perimeter. Kudos to Iowa for knocking down the free throws.
