I don't really follow the NFL, but got roped into a fantasy league by a friend that wants me to, well, follow NFL football more.

So, somebody tell me: is Braylon Edwards going to give me more than 3 freakin points, or should I replace him with Torry Holt?

Also, who do we like better this week: Clinton Portis or Brandon Jacobs?

TIA

holt is solid. i would go with him until braylon starts proving he still knows how to catch.

the RB is a tougher call. i would go by the quality of the run defense they are up against.

Braylon Edwards has dropped 6 balls in 2 games. Keep him. He caught 16 TD's last year and should get double digits this year. He will get it figured out. Do you already have Torry Holt on your team? Are you looking to start him over Edwards? Holt is awesome but his team is horrid

As for your other question, flip a coin. Jacobs plays the Bengals but for some reason hasn't been getting the TD's. Bradshaw has been. Portis is playing against the Cardinals who have looked good, but they haven't played anyone either. I would probably go w/ Portis

I'd go Portis & Edwards ...but really there's not a good arguement either way.

Jacobs is a beast, but it seems like the Giants are trying to keep in fresh by not over working him (which sucks for you in the short term).

I think Edwards will break out of the slump (and maybe Anderson will improve to)... but the safer bet is Holt. The Rams really really suck though ... so that's no help.

good luck

I really wish I could be mad at you for that statement, just can't figure out how to get mad at the truth.

Oh, that's easy. Become a Hawk fan

To an earlier poster, they are all on my team, I'm just needing to make a decision as to who starts this week.

I would think Holt would be an OK start against SEA. I have Edwards also and will keep using him since he should figure it out once he gets that stupid Phelps guarantee out of his mind.

Jacobs and Portis should both have big games, but the Bengals have given up over 200 yards/game on the grounds, so I would lean towards Jacobs.

Do you have any other options at WR? I would give a slight edge to Edwards. Holt isn't even the leading receiver on the Rams.

Yeah, um, Steve Smith :skeptical:

Alright, so I've got Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Brandon Marshall, Torry Holt, and Steve Smith.

Should I be going with Marshall, Smith, and Edwards? Is that what I'm hearing?

Holy crap! You're loaded at WR ... AND you have Jacobs & Portis !?!? Please tell me this isn't a 12 player league.

Gotta go Marshall & Smith ...

sadly any of your other receivers would be locks on my team... I'd go Edwards but you really can't go wrong with him or Holt. Holmes is soild too ... you're good to go at WR.

Nope, just 6. You can feel a little better now:wink: Oh, and just to make sure you don't feel TOO much better, I've got Adrian Peterson:yes:

wow... I don't even know how I'd manage in a 6 person league ... there's got to be some kickass free agents.

good luck.

Holt is on a pathetic team - no blocking for the qb, so go Edwards. Portis appears to be more dependable than Jacobs at this point.

ok, since we're talking WRs, here's who I've got: DeSaun Jackson, Santonio Holmes, Santana Moss, Wes Welker, Isaac Bruce

I already know who I'm starting at 1 and 2. Who would you start?

How many can you start? I would go

1 - Holmes
2 - Welker
3 - Moss
4 - Jackson
5 - Bruce
