All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Stanley has a career QB rating of 141.5 which is pretty mediocre considering it doesn't account for fumbles so if you don't think Purdy is even mediocre you are clueless

The thing about elite up-side gunslinger QBs... I'm talking Favre, Marino, Stanley level guys... is that there's always some risk of things like that happening. But you accept it because the magic they're capable of achieving out there is once-in-a-generation stuff. It's kind of like Maverick in 'Top Gun', there's always a chance of a butt-chewing for a fly-by or losing a guy like Goose because of an accidental jet wash, but you take it because he's able to do things up there the other guys just can't.

Give me Brock Brees over Nate Rothleisberger every day of the week

So is Purdy now the starter even if Kempt comes back? How many games has Purdy played now?

The future is bright

About 3/4 way through this video you can see something in the locker room that looks like a BEAT TOE clock but I can't tell if that's what it says or not

Stanley is not mediocre either.
I personally don't think he's mediocre either. I do think having those stud TE's really helps a lot, they really looked good vs Indiana.
He's still floating some passes though, and that would scare me against a talented secondary. If Indiana's DBs weren't committing penalties they were tripping over themselves.

Cool. You going to answer my question?

Yeah, I don't trust the Kirk and Barta when it comes to sexual assaults and discrimination.
What does that have to do with Stanley? ... The setting for which you asked that question was Jesse Palmer comparing Stanley to Roethlisberger.

You seem to think you know a lot about the landscape of college football. Have you ever heard an announcer compare a player to an NFL player because of their legal transgressions?
