MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

Aaaand there it is. I'm done. Heyward the lowest post-season batting average in HISTORY. Literally.

I know Schwarber isn't 100% but even if he had to have one arm and one leg amputated, I'd still rather pinch hit him over Heyward

Baseball is stupid. At least if the Cubs lose I know I won't have to watch anymore this year.

Maddon consistently makes the worst effing decisions. He is a terrible in-game manager.

I bet this is finally the inning where the Rockies score 2 or 3 and put it out of reach.

Schwarber had a wRC+ of -62 in high leverage situations this year, the second worst hitter in those situations was Alcides Escobar at -3. There is literally no one worse in the majors this year in high leverage spots than Schwarber.

How? 3 straight NLCS appearances. Almost 4 straight NL Central titles, and 1 World Series win. Baseball is a game of ups and downs and unfortunately at the end if this season the Cubs are down. As a lifelong Cubs and baseball fan, it is just how it goes. Ask the Mariners how the feel after winning 116 games and then losing in the 1st round of the playoffs.
