Kinnick north end zone renovation

If they postpone the game to a later date (bye week) would they claim their players suspensions were for 1 week instead of 1 game? So they wouldn’t miss week 2. or would they say they are suspended for the N. Illinois game and they will miss their would be bye week? I don’t think the game will be postponed as long as they don’t get more than 1/8” of rain :p, but I am honestly curious how that would work

I don’t seek any way the game could be rescheduled. Would probably be cancelled. The bye weeks don’t line up. I guess Iowa could buy out the NIU game with Eastern Michigan on September 29th. Iowa plays Maryland and the B1G wouldn’t let them move that.

I have no idea what they would do with the suspended players. Maybe they would suspend them for the UNI game so that the collective heads of Cyclonefanatic posers would explode.

Iowa had 95% capacity last year, the same as Trice but with 8,500 more fans per game and significantly higher revenue all while ISU had one of their best seasons ever.
The best season argument is odd. Season tickets make up a gigantic percentage of overall tickets and ISU had a bad record the previous year.

And ISU gets the same percentage thru the door as Iowa, while being historically one of the worst power schools of all time? I'd say our fans are doing a great job of showing up.

For big games? So 1, maybe 2 a year?

And I've been to Kinnick numerous times. I'm up to about 15 NCAA stadiums. The loudest, and weirdest stadium I've been to is aTm. How many have you been to?

I can't wait to hear this answer.

They absolutely are, that doesn't dimish Iowa's accomplishments and atmosphere. You conveniently left out the part about much higher attendance and revenue at that percentage as well.

Don't understand rating tailgating actually. If I'm cooking brats and burgers while drinking beers with my friends before my team takes the field outside, then the seems like heaven no matter where you are tailgating. Iowa has great tailgating cause that is the team I root for and have a lot of friends I tailgate with. Always an awesome time.

Win or lose, we still booze!

I didnt conveniently leave it out, you conveniently added it as a great thing about attendance.
In my eyes I don't think paying more as an Iowa fan than an ISU fan is something I'd be proud of when the visiting teams at Kinnick dont interest me as much as the visiting teams at Trice. We get to see OU and Texas every other year. You're going to get to see Illinois and Rutgers every other year.

Agree, not in it for the rankings, but the recognition is nice. Ames tailgating is solid. Just much different type of scene.

The tides are turning! That used to be my saying for ISU tailgates. Not saying we Wouldn’t drink still after a loss, but I’ve never heard a hawk fan say that before.

Another thing, any time you tailgate for your team's game it will be a lot better. That includes your team's stadium too. I hate going to a game where I have no vested interest on who is going to win or lose.
