Gervase was actually pretty good the last four or five games. I’d certainly rather have Gervase than whatever unproven players Iowa State will be trotting out at safety this year.

If homers like you are talking about how bad he was, he must have been pretty bad.
As will the Stanley-Kempt arguments after Kempt loses his starting spot halfway through the season.

He wasn't very good last year, but I won't write him off quite yet.
He also shouldn't have had to play. He was probably going to be a guy that contributed in years 3-4 at the earliest, but lack of depth didn't make that an option.
I don’t know, but Iowa State hasn’t had it’s starting QB finish the season in ten years. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think he will lose his starting spot due to poor play or an injury. Hope for his sake it doesn’t happen, but expectations will be high in Ames this season, and I could easily see him getting yanked if Iowa State starts off 2-4.
So you don't know. And you can see him getting yanked.

I can’t remember if it has been ten years or eight years- either way, it has been a long, long time.
You can blame Twins- he comes back and starts saying stupid ****, and it is pretty difficult to try and carry on an actual conversation. The board was nice and peaceful until he started trolling again a day or two ago.
2-4 with the hardest part of our schedule could definitely happen. They wouldn't yank him for that.
Perhaps not, but I think if that were to happen a large portion of the fan base would be very loudly demanding some type of changes from the coaching staff.
