To be honest, lots of "loyal" Cyclone fans on this site seemed to turn against him pretty quickly. I think we were all hoping for the best, but as soon as it went south, I was embarrassed by how many of us started posts overly negative "good riddance" sorts of things.
I always hoped that he would come back to the Clones, and when that didn't happen, I was hoping he could land somewhere and have some success. In the end KK played great last year, so maybe for the Cyclones and their fans it turned on better then it would have with Park, but that is no reason to diss on the guy.
Ehhh....there was very little of that until he went to the press. Don’t confuse people who didn’t think he was the end all be all, with wishing him ill will.
Back when it happened I remember thinking Park seemed upset that we moved on to KK so fast
Like what were we supposed to do as fans to improve Park's standing with the staff?
My two memories are 1) the horrific int vs Iowa and 2) hallucinogenic filled game vs Texas
I legitimately asked my dad (who I sit with for home games) if Park was high during the Tx game. He was all over the damned place
Your dad was high during the game too?
I drank a lot that game. A lot. My wife wound up hiding the rum. She thought I was going to break the t.v.

Really? I know there were some who were upset about the Texas game in particular who were fine seeing him go, but the majority were still wishing him well.
Many were dumbfounded trying to figure out why he disappeared, but still most were supportive.
Even when he said he was leaving, most posts I read, here and on twitter, were very positive and well wishing.
Now it's never going to be 100%. There are always going to be internet tough guys who love to talk smack from behind an anonymous username, but I specifically remember how positive almost everyone was.
I was shocked that Park got so negative about the fan base. It seemed as though he expected us to beg for him to come back and not support Kyle while he was out there.
Once Park started blasting the ISU fan base unfairly, then people got ticked off.
I wish nothing but the best for him and hope that any prospective/current/past athlete that checks out boards like this understand the volatility of a fan site.
I will say that seeing how he acted on the sideline vs Texas....doesn't seem like the culture CMC is building. It's one thing to be fired up, but another to not be able to contain it. I know that's a fine line, but it seems from what we are seeing/hearing about the team is there is a accountability amongst the young men now and i can see how someone like Park could really throw a wrench into that.

Roommates gal baked loaded brownies. Marching bank was particularly good that afternoon IIRC. 
Well before the transparent bag era when we could bring just about anything into Cyde Williams, wine skins, all sorts of food, beer, etc. No sure if true but at the time someone at one game was swearing some dorm house or frat had hefted a pony keg up into the stands.
The kid had a CANNON. Someone will want that.
I just hope he has it all together upstairs. I really do worry about him, he seemed like he might need some help.
