Once every 5 years Iowa has a real schedule.. schedule this year is not good really. I’d bet ISU game will be their 3rd toughest game.
Iowa has averaged the 35th ranked SOS over the last 15 years. Iowa State has averaged 47th.
Bowl game included, the site I used showed final rankings. Taking that out would bring them closer to even I'm sure.
Love how you included bowl games so Iowa gets an extra decent team added. Cut it back to 10 years and there is NO WAY ISU is back that far. From 2010 to 2016 ISU's schedule was top 20, mostly top 10. 2017 it was around 30. Oh, and after about 2006, the north got better. 2007/08 Missouri, Kansas were really good and KSU was good too most years. Nebraska was decent and the whole south was good except Baylor. When league dropped down to 10 teams, it went about 8 deep with good to competent football teams. This meant KU was the only poor team in their conference schedule.

Why 15 years? Nobody will argue the Big 12 north was a joke, arguably almost as bad as the Big Ten West

Kinnick and Trice both operated at just over 94% capacity last year, with Kinnick having 9,000 more fans per game and significantly higher revenue. So there's not much to argue there.. just more proof Iowa and Iowa State both have some of the best fans in the country, IMO.
