All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

You do realize that Campbell calls you hawks TOE? Even had it for the jumbotrons last year. Kinda weird that he would change his stance ONE time to put it on this clock? (PS last year he put Beat TOE) you might want to get more knowledgeable photo shoppers.

That's the dumbest thing of this photoshop pic. They should have at least put BEAT TOE since that is the tag we do actually have for Iowa week

So, ummm, I was thinking that we were projecting for this coming year. Was I wrong? I think ISU is going to miss their receivers in a big way. That impacts the QB play.
I disagree.

They'll miss AL sure, but I think the other two will be replaced just fine.

I don't think there will be a gap in production from last year to this year from that WR group.

How do you figure?

ISU returns a 700 yard guy, and another that has 800+ yards in his first two years at ISU. Also Eaton made some big plays last year.

It's not like they're starting over from scratch at WR. They've recruited well there.

Iowa fans are notorious for looking at players that are relatively unproven and thinking they can smell two right in and perform with little or no drop off. You’re losing 2? Long term starters one of which was arguably the best wide receiver in the history of ISU football.

IMO, the ISU WRs as a group will be a lot more talented this year than last year. Problem is they won't be quite as experienced.

For instance, Butler is more athletic and talented than Lazard, but Lazard had so much experience over Butler last year. Butler will have a breakout year this season IMO.

Deshaunte Jones is a flat out stud. Eaton is a big time mismatch too for corners and safeties. Younger guys like Jalen Martin, Josh Johnson, and Akers are very talented too.

If we’re counting guys like Akers as “very talented”, you might as well just say both teams’ entire rosters are very talented.
