That is classic rationalization by Hok fans that got spurned by the local kid rejecting them. Especially since Hok fans have been roster building with Carton as the PG for the next 4 years assuming he'd choose them due to location and Fran's boy being his teammate.
Funny that that post is already questioning Noah's personality as "cocky" and "prima donna" from watching what I assume is a Hutchinson highligh video. When isn't a highlight tape going to show emotion and playing to the crowd on a big play. Feel like they are already getting ready to lose the "3.75 star" to Buffalo (which is a better program with Oats than Iowa anyhow)
Some of those posts are absolutely shameful. I believe this is the beginning of the end for Fran. I just don't think Fran is the answer for Iowa Basketball. Losing a 5 star instate kid less than 1 hour away from Carver is unacceptable. Especially in year 9 of Fran's tenure. Can't say I blame Carton though.
I think you may be right that losing Carton could cause Fran to get fired but the real problem is not having a second option that can provide most of what DJ would have provided to FM. Only being in on one PG for that class in the top 100 is a error in recruiting and I have my doubts that Hutchinson will be the PG Iowa needs to change Fran's fate as coach. Losing Carton should sting but considering the state of the Iowa program vs the state of his final 3 it makes sense why he removed them as an option. Fans shouldn't be upset at DJ, but I have seen they are...
