Iowa -7 vs ISU

Iowa led the nation in INT's last season and was 11th nationally in pass efficiency defense. The CB's were fine. When you have an elite CB, the other side is going to be targeted more.

Didnt you learn anything when trying to make this same argument when King and Mabin were the Iowa CB's?

All from the same game. Players tend to struggle sometimes. You are using one bad day against my stats from an entire 13 game season.

Im sure Iowa's cbs will be solid like every year but I dont think they will be up to speed by game 2.

The CB's opposite of Jackson didn't struggle against Michigan State or are you going to make me pull up old tweets of that too?

It's funny you guys thought Ragumba was good because of one game but now a player can't be bad because of one game...

So you are using tweets against 13 games worth of statistics?

I do think Iowa's CB play is still a question mark at this point. I don't think they will be bad my any means but it is too early to say they will be really good. But the safety play should be really good from the get go.

They all lack experience. Some have played a little but not starter reps.

Same thing with the Iowa CB's, Hankins and OJ have played in the past but dont have a ton of experience.
I'd argue Deshaunte Jones has gotten more than his share of "starter reps". Matt Eaton once getting up to speed was a regular in our offense the last 3/5ths of the season, with big games in there. Sure, it isn't a core with 2 seniors in Lazard and Ryen, but its not like we're bare.

Kakert has Iowa winning this game 23-21 in his predictions for the upcoming season.

So.... the DL and linebackers didn't do a good job on rush defense. Got it!
