Is Fran building a regional powerhouse or just calling Iowa fans idiots and morons?

Offers from PSU, Indiana and Xavier.

Rated 90 spots higher than Conditt.
The difference is, there should be an understanding that kids in that range are far more likely to need some development and growth to be successful at the next level. Could CJ be good? Certainly, at some point. But to be having discussions about if he should be the guy LEADING THE OFFENSE for the hawkeyes next year, and questioning why blue bloods aren't at least testing the waters with this kid, is why we find it amusing.

Recruits in that range are a complete crap shoot and the "misses" far out number the "hits."

Only an idiot or moron thinks C.J. should play point this season.

Got a link saying he didnt have those offers?

Common sense tells me that a player would take a full ride scholarship over a walk on offer, but that's just me. Also, there was no Indiana offer made by Archie Miller.

Who was the poster that was trying to link a message board as a source to CJ's Xavier offer?

I have no idea if CJ did or did not have offers from Xavier or Indiana - but I really question a kid for wanting to "walk on" at Iowa instead of accepting a scholarship at a perennial college basketball power like Xavier or Indiana. Remember, he accepted the walk-on position BEFORE being offered a hok scholarship (due to CW leaving). This is especially baffling when I consider that he doesn't appear to have family connections to the Hoks.
If my oldest daughter was good enough to play D1 basketball and had 3 offers : accept a scholarship at OU, accept a scholarship at TxA&M or go to ISU as a walk-on (with no absolute guarantee that a player like Maddie Wise was going to transfer out & open up a scholly for her), I would strongly encourage her to take one of the first 2 options. For as much as she loves the Cyclones, she would jump at the chance to basically have little to no debt after getting her college degree (and to be on a very, very good P6 team).

His uncle played for Notre Dame when Fran was an assistant there. The walk on status was only supposed to be for a year until a ride opened up. That changed when Williams left Iowa.
