Wigginton declaring for NBA Draft, not hiring agent

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but the 2018 draft class is MUCH deeper than 2019. If he stays and doesn't improve any, he moves up purely due to level of competition. There's always risk of injury and losing a year of income, and I won't pretend to know anything about family/other factors, but it seems like pretty simple math to me.

Why would Wigginton hint at coming back to college when he’s still working out for NBA teams? I look at those like an informal interview, so why not go all in for the NBA until the process is over?

Wiggs will come back, lead ISU to the second weekend or beyond in the Big Dance next year and then be a mid-late first round pick next summer.

It would be a total ISU thing if we finally had a player on our roster that was good enough to be a "one and done", but we didn't get any rewards from it at all as far as team success goes for that one year.

Normally you hear people say..... "I'm fine if he leaves after one year, that means we probably had a great season." Nope. Not at ISU. We get the worst of both worlds.
Would suck but not that unusual. Oklahoma limped in and lost in the first round with a top 10 draft pick

That's what insurance policies are for.

I wonder if hawk fans in EIU are freaking out that Cook and Moss haven't announce their draft intentions yet?

Lindell is going through the process and working out for teams, until that is no longer and option (may 30th) he shouldn't announce anything. He already is on record saying it would be after this weekend as far as I am concerned nothing has changed.

Couple things are interesting...he’s had 6 total workouts..not sure what other 2 are but Suns, lakers, Clippers, Hawks..are what i’ve Seen. 7-10 was what Prohm was saying earlier..

I just find it very hard to believe that a 6’2 undersized SG, freshman, who didnt get a combine invite, would get drafted. But who knows maybe he blew people away.

As for the “if we lose LW we won’t return to NCAA’..Uhm..Shayok and THT say hi. We return basically everyone and gain who will be a stud in Shayok and a freshman in THT who might actually have as good or bettter frosh year than LW did. Also have Jacobsen who will be a much needed improvement over Brase. LW stays and we could compete for big 12...losing him and this team has talent to make the NCAA.
Lol, stop.

LW wasn’t combine invite is not nba pg ready at all and is not on single draft board.. he’s showing up as end 1st/early 2nd for 2019.. why would you stay in draft this year when chances of being drafted are likely less then 10% but next year with a good year more like 70%+?

As for crockpants..50% shot you are right. If you already know then LW knows and Prohm knows so he should have already said I’d think.

Simple logic says there is no benefit to saying he hasn't decided if he has already decided to go pro. So at worst he is a strong lean to go pro but still hasn't decided 100%. They said Prohm has been saying it's 50/50.

I’d think with the draft coming up it would benefit him to say he’s staying in draft sooner than later so teams can due their dilegence..

I agree with you.

He may stay in draft and if he does hope he gets drafted for his sake. Just think that if there’s shot to go in 1st rd next year like some are projecting already then why would you bolt this year and risk not even getting drafted.

Who knows maybe a team guaranteed him a draft spot..somehow.

Think of how valuable this is for Wiggs though. He's getting a huge jumpstart on NBA interviews, he's getting (likely) some GREAT instruction on what he has to work on going forward... Win for him either way and while I don't want him to go yet, good pub for a head coach who consistently puts PGs into the pros.

Oh yea for sure..it would be foolish to not workout for teams.
