Iowa -7 vs ISU

I'll bet YeahBuddy an avatar selection of choice for a week that the spread will be lower than that come game week.

Well, since Iowa usually gets about 2 points more than they should (not great against the spread over the years IIRC), and ISU usually gets about 2 points less then they should (12-1 vs spread last year IIRC), that makes this Iowa -3 at home. That sounds about right to me at this point, certainly wouldn't argue it.

But I would take +7 in a rivalry game with both teams being competent. Think the odds of either team winning by >7 this year are very, very small.

Saw the highlights of the Big Ten bb tournament on Omaha tv. I've seen more fans at a T-ball game. No advertising on local media. No interest ! NONE!

Who won the Cy-Hawk series this year? It was the closest race ever and the Cyclones earned the final two points based on the NCAA's release of the single year Academic Progress Rate (APR) yesterday to win 14-13.

Who pays any attention to a spread published 4 months before a game?

Degenerate gamblers. I'll usually gamble on the NCAA tourney champion for the next year before the NBA draft decisions are made, although I haven't this year. Hasn't worked out yet.

I haven't this year because the long shot on Bovada whose odds I like best happens to the Iowa State Cyclones at 200-1.

7-point home favorite, huh... That sounds about right. I'd expect that line to creep inwards a bit leading up to the game, too.

I do wonder what the O/U will be, given what happened last season.

How about we just bet on the game? I think it will go down a little. Could see it close around 5.5.

Why did you ask me a question and then answer the question in the same post?

So....just cancel the game then? I guess the gamblers have spoken and Iowa wins the game.
