Looks like Iowa is a pretty good match with Illinois.

Give Barta an extension!

And you get an extension, and you get an extension, and you get an extension!!

I'll be interested to see how they spin themselves out of this one. If there wasn't a tie at number 5, would the almighty HOKS rank even lower?

They'll spin it like one of their past examples:
1) Cherry picking: One of the only schools to send their football team to a bowl game, women's basketball to the tourney, baseball team to the regionals, and wrestling team to the championship meets.
2) Distraction: Talk about how great the finances are for the athletics department/school.
3) Blind optimism/false equivalencies: Talk about the new recruits and people coming back to teams that beat a leader in that sport or almost beat a leader in that sport and claim they're not that far off.

Rutgers is once again proving that they don't belong in a P5 conference. They competed in 14 big 10 sports and came in last in 6 of them, tied for last in another one and came in second to last in another two. The only sports that they didn't finish last or next to last were baseball (11th out of 13), wrestling (11th), WBB (tied for 9th), field hockey (tied for 5th out of 9), and women's soccer (4th out of 9). For those keeping score at home that is one sport (W soccer) where they finished in the upper half of the conference (barely).

What was the big 10 thinking? I don't care about TV sets, that is not good for a conference to have a school that clearly doesn't belong.
