Is Fran building a regional powerhouse or just calling Iowa fans idiots and morons?

I'm pretty sure I can talk about any recruit I want. You don't think it's odd you think you're in the top 3 for a kid when national guys say you're not a player for him? I mean are you just that big of a homer
It sounds like he's the top backup option on the board to Carton. Terry has already moved on from Iowa
Carton will most likely play at Carver. However, it'll be in either a Michigan or Ohio State jersey.
He is not the top backup option for Iowa, He is like 7th in line, but he is who Iowa will realistically get. Carton is probably a Michigan/ Indiana lean. A few other offers to top pgs are MSU leans. One already committed to UNC. Terry has been to quiet to be considered a contender for at this point IMO. He has blown up and will go to a better school. that leaves us with Hutchins and Locure.... Which I would be ok with if we get someone else besides Patrick that is high level, but at this point I do not see that happening. I had hope about a month, even 2 weeks ago, but recent comments by Fran, continued level of being comfortable with what we have, and not closing in on top guys has me down and out for Iowa basketball. I want us to do well, but Fran will not be the guy to do it until he lands some good recruits that are not his friends kids or his kids or born Iowa fans.
I am one of the biggest hawkeye fans around, but I cant even defend Fran and his lack of an open minded view on recruiting anymore. He will leave Iowa stuck in the making the tournament 1 time out of 4 years at best. Just wait until Cook leaves. He is gone. No way he is coming back to Iowa right now.

Idk, with the Big 10 schedule who knows if Mich, OSU or IU will play @ EIU the while Carton in college.
I really hope he commits to someone in the middle of summer so Iowa is forced to go after at least a decent 3* guy that has a chance to be a big ten starter. I mean that is realistic as it gets, but it is probably a long shot or a dream at this point
Just accept the fact that the Locure(sp) kid from Des Moines will be your PG starting the 2019 season. Fran is a horrible PG recruiter. Horrible.
Well, that won't be true even if that is the PG they end up with because Bohannon and McCaffery will still be there.
Fran just isn't a good recruiter in general, regardless of position.
I already have, but I have hope that Francis sends him on a vacation for about 2 months and takes over just to see what it would be like..... Fran comes back and boom, athletes and some top 200 guys..... Fran gets mad and leaves taking his 2 kids with him then Iowa gets 2 grad transfers and the rest is history..... but again that is just a dream.
Fran's inability or desire to go to the transfer market is going to do him in. Even blue-bloods take transfers anymore. The game is quickly passing him by.
