Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Well it appears Iowa is all in on Carton and Terry. Fran told Hardy that he will sign a PG that "moves the needle" but not just sign one to sign one..... and that might be the final nail in the coffin for me. Get your head out of your butt fran! Carton and Terry are top 100 and will be a dog fight to get, which Iowa doesnt win in those situations. No more trying to be positive and snarky. Fran has officially lost it in my book.

When he did not go after a transfer it was because he was going to get a PG in the 2019 class.... ok Fran I trust you.....nope.

How you cant recruit a guy that is in the top 200 as a PG when you need one is the stupidest thing I have ever read by a head coach. Just sign one to sign one..... How about we beat out Illinois, Minnestoa, NW, Wisconsin for a decent PG. IT is not that hard is it.....

Cheers to having a free winter not stressing about College BB...... again.......

If Fran lands either one of those recruits I wont post on this site again.

It is probably because we are rivals, you guys were/ are better, we wanted to trust fran. ISU fans stuck it to us with Hubbard so we held onto that grudge and kept going with it. But soon that will fizzle because Fran is running Iowa into the ground again.

Summary of the last page: Fran is the biggest delusional idiot in college basketball. Hope he gets extended again!

The one guy Iowa brought in fizzled out before he even got through the summer that had a bad history. I think Fran was done trying to count on guys like that after that incident. But it worked for ISU in that they are a winning program with a sweet 16 or 2 under their belt because of it. Some coaches like it, some dont. Hoiberg was the king of getting the best of the best. That is hard to do in the transfer market now.

Please be specific on which ISU transfers had 'character' issues. What do you use as your standard for good character? McCabe?

Some small stuff like jok being arrested several times in same year and Fran doing absolutely nothing for discipline?
