That's certainly the game all of the coaches and fans cared most about.
They beat ISU in Ames. That was their second best win and they were lucky to get it.
Boston College without one of their best players in a crappy bowl is their third best win.
I am not sure, that is probably up for debate as there is not one ranked in the final AP top 25.
But if it is ISU, then that doesnt say much for the big 12 conference. As Iowa was the middle of the pack big 10 team last year.
How is ISU being Iowa's second best win have anything negative to do with ISU or the Big 12?
Beating the T-4th finish team in the Big 12 in OT says the conference is bad? That seems like a stretch -- how did you feel about the B1G being left out of the CFP, does that make them look bad?
Yeah we lost to Iowa in their Super Bowl. Who cares if we beat three top 20 teams, two of which were on the road
Do you just compare the final rankings of teams and not take into account the actual account of the games?
We should clarify that point while it's up now -- do rankings only matter at the complete end of the season, or do they matter at the time in which they occur?
I dont know you tell me. Iowa was mediocre last year. Finished middle of the pack but went into Ames and got the win against what seems like the 3-4 best team in the big 12. Not sure how that is making ISU head and shoulders about Iowa. Iowa has better recruiting classes, facilities, and record of the last 3 years. I fail to see how that is a downward trend. ISU might be trending up, but they still need to catch Iowa.
I would think if we're doing post season assessments that the end of season ranking should take precedence.

Yes, that is what has been compared in this very thread for a while now. AP rankings, or lack there of.
Oh even if you use the final AP rankings we beat 3 top 25 teams last year, your second best win was ISU. And you wonder why voters think we were better
