Are we basing this on history? again we cant do that. We can only compare the recent. Those are your words. Relevant to this discussion is that Weber had a good year last year in the tournament. He struck gold. Is he a better coach than Prohm because he reached the elite 8 last year? Prohm has never done that

IN the history of the tournament

the big 10 has had 49 more teams make it than the big 12. second only to the ACC.

The Big 10 was established in 1895 so they have been around to make the tournament since its inception in 1939; The Big 12 was established in 1994 with Big 12 Conference teams first playing in the NCAA tournament in 1995. With more than a 50 year head start I would hope the Big 10 would have a few more teams participating in the dance.
